DARAG native chicken, mango, muscovado, and bamboo. These are the featured commodities in the recently concluded Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA).
Hosted by the Western Visayas Agriculture Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESVAARRDEC) and conducted in Cabatuan, Iloilo, the five-day event showcased each of the mentioned commodities.
The event included a techno-forum, where the current research and development on the commodities, were discussed to promote them to the community.

S&T Digital Library reaches 'Yolanda'-stricken schools Posted: Wednesday, October 25, 2017 ILOILO CITY, Oct. 25 (PIA6) -- Pupils and teachers of five typhoon Yolanda-stricken public elementary schools in Northern Iloilo have now access to relevant and timely Science and Technology ( S&T) information.
STARBOOKS or Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosks and Software are now installed in these schools containing thousands of digitized S & T resources in various formats and set in a user friendly interface.
Recipient schools are Lawis Elementary School and Kinalkalan Elementary School in Balasan town; Lumbia Elementary School in Estancia; Madanlog Primary School in San Dionisio; and Alapasco Primary School in Batad.
