DOST turns over 2 specimen collection booths to SPMC Posted: Thursday, June 25, 2020 DAVAO CITY The Department of Science and Technology Region 11 (DOST 11) has turned over on Tuesday, June 23, two specimen collection booths (SCBs) to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) here.

In a statement, the DOST said the collection booths are designed and fabricated by DOST Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST PCIEERD) and Startup Grant awardee, Futuristic Aviation and Maritime Enterprise, Inc.(FAME).
These SCBs will serve as [a] protective barrier between the medical frontliner and the suspected COVID-19 patient, it added.

DOST holds first public consultation on RA 11312 Posted: Monday, March 09, 2020 DAVAO CITY The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) conducted the first public consultation on the Guidelines Implementing Republic Act 11312, an Act Strengthening the Magna Carta for Scientists, Engineers, Researchers and other Science and Technology (S&T) Personnel in the Government on February 12, 2020 at the Royal Mandaya Hotel, Davao City.
The activity seeks to inform personnel from various national government agencies and other government organizations such as State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Mindanao who are involved in S&T on the proposed additional rules and regulations of the RA 11312 (amending for the Purpose Republic Act No. 8439).
