Mga patapon na bahagi ng "Queen Pineapple", magandang gawing patuka para sa katutubong manok

Maaaring magamit ang balat, pinagtanggalan ng mata, ubod, at sapal ng "Queen Pineapple" bilang patuka sa katutubong manok. Ang patuka ay tinatawag na Queen Pineapple (QP) Bran.  Ang QP Bran ay nakapagpapalusog sa katutubong manok.  Ito ay kasing husay ng Rice Bran o darak mula sa palay at may presyong abot-kaya.  Ginawa ang QP Bran sa pamamagitan ng proyekto ng Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) na pinondohan ng Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD). Ang proyekto ay pinangungunahan ni Ms. Michelle S. Carbonell at Dr. Sonia S. Carbonell. PCAARRD beefs up eel R&D in Bicol and Northeastern Luzon provinces

Two projects on Anguillid eels will kick off soon in Cagayan State University (CSU) Aparri Campus and Bicol University Tabaco Campus (BUTC).  Led by Dr. Eunice Layugan of CSU Aparri Campus, the first project will study the composition of species and seasonality of eels in the river systems of Northeastern Luzon.  The second project, which is led by Dr. Plutomeo Nieves of BUTC, on the other hand, will study the eel fry fishery in tributaries along Lagonoy Gulf as well as their implications for conservation and management.   These project proposals were recently approved for funding by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).  The CSU eel project wi...   read full story
