DOST orients 57 new scholars in Camarines Norte

DAET, Camarines Norte, June 11 (PIA) – A total of 57 passers of the Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarships program joined the orientation conducted by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). This was discussed by Marilou J. Belgado, DOST science and research specialist during the radio program “Talakayan sa PIA on Air” over DWCN-FM Radyo Pilipinas held Monday, June 10 here. Belgado said that students also signed the contract which stipulates the coverage, benefits, including the grades that they will maintain as well as other guidelines of the DOST. DOST turns over 6 e-governance systems to Nabua, Bula towns in CamSur

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has awarded six municipal e-governance systems to the municipalities of Nabua and Bula in Camarines Sur to serve as a model for smart governance for local government units. The DOST’s Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) said the six interrelated systems will work as a cluster of interdependent modules in the following areas: Legislative Management and Tracking System is an application that tracks the status, manages, and stores all communications, requests, proposed resolutions and ordinances, Sanggguniang Bayan resolutions, and ordinances.
