DOST-IX Launches Disaster-Watch Websites

The Department of Science and Technology IX (DOST-IX) had recently launched two (2) websites to aid in the mitigation and reduction of risk during disasters.

Developed by DOST-IV A (CALABARZON), the HaNDA or Hazard Notification, Dissemination and Awareness website is an ICT-enabled Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) system used in the gathering and dissemination of disaster-related updates, the monitoring of early warning devices, and notification of local government units (LGUs).

The website allows access to DRRM Related events in the region, a repository for Information and Education Campaign (IEC) Materials, contingency plans, as well as existing DRRM-related Programs.
