TUBLAY, Benguet — A cleanup of the Bayokbok Falls in Tuel fired off activities for the nationwide celebration of Earth Day in this province.

A Holy Mass was also celebrated by the residents along with the officials of the municipal government on Monday as the caves of Paterno and Bengaongao were closed to public visitors and tourists.

Meanwhile, in relation to environment conservation efforts, the National Academy for Science and Technology and the Department of Science and Technology Cordillera will hold a Luzon Regional Scientific Meeting from 24 to 25 April in Alaminos, Pangasinan.

Participants will discuss ways to reduce plastic wastes, ensure sustainable marine food security and sustainable education, talent development and retention programs.
